1.Barabati Fort-
Barabati Fort, situated in Cuttack district of Odisha, was constructed by Ganga dynasty in 14th century. Presently the fort is in ruins and the leftovers include earthen mound of the nine-storied palace, a gate and its moat which narrates the events of the past. The fort has been the witness of various historical battles. Archaeological excavations have been carried out in the fort to unearth the historical facts associated with the fort.
2.Chudanga gada Fort-
The Chudanga Gada Fort was earlier known as Sarangagarh and is situated about 14 km north of Bhubaneswar in the village of Baranga. According to local stories, the fort was constructed by Lalatendu Kesari of Kesari dynasty when it was known as Sarangagarh. Later on Baraha Kesari renovated the fort, which was then captured by the Ganga king, Chodaganga Deva, after defeating Karna Deva, the last ruler of the Somavamsi dynasty in 1110 AD.
3. Raibania Fort-
Raibania Fort is a group of ancient forts in the Baleswar district of Odisha. This fort complex is considered as the biggest medieval fort of eastern India and was built during the Buddhist era in Odisha. There are 161 fort goddesses which are known as "Durga devata" or "Iṣṫa devata".
4.Sisuplgarh Fort-
Sisupalgarh Fort discovered near Bhubaneswar, recites of splendour and opulence. The remains of the ancient city are believed to flourish prior to the Mauryan empire rule.
5.Potagarh Fort-
On the bank of river Rushikulya and Bay of Bengal, the epic signature of Potagarh Fort makes an amazing historical site. Ensconced against the picturesque backdrop, the remnants of this fort takes the pride to add more to the erstwhile chapters of British Raj.
