The Odisha goverment on tuesday has decided to provide a lifetime permanent caste caste certificate to SC, ST and SEBC students from class 5 to 12th belonging to the ST (scheduled tribe), SC (scheduled caste) and SEBC (socially & economically backward caste) will be issued with caste certificates .
The caste certificate will be valid for lifetime. Around 19 lakh students in the state will be benefited by this rule implemented by the state government.And the student get the certificate with in 6 months.
The objective of this decision is to ensure that all students belonging to ST, SC communities are not required to repeatedly visit the revenue offices for getting their caste certificates.
